Our mission is to bring our community together

Our Approach

The Afghan Youth Association of Montreal was created in 2012 by a group of young Afghan Canadians living in Montreal who wanted to bring the community closer and grow a feeling of family and belonging within the community.

We realized that the afghan community in Montreal is very complex and isolated. We think it is essential to the success of our community for the youth to have a distinct, powerful, supportive and empowering platform in order to enable great initiatives, to encourage youth engagement in society, to educate culturally and academically, to help youth integrate, to help new comers find the resources they need, to help orient our youth professionally and academically, to increase afghan visibility within Canadian society, to represent the afghan community rights, to bring people together, to celebrate our culture, rich history and diversity, to help our people in Afghanistan and much more…
